Dirt Fest Victoria runs across two days and challenges competitors with a weekend of Hardcore Off Road Action. Featuring the Victorian Off Road Triathlon Championships and the Victorian Dirt Master and Dirt Mistress Championships the weekend offers no less than nine off road events with something for everyone from Hardcore athletes, Weekend Warriors to Mum, Dad & the Kids. The weekend includes:

 Swim Course
- Long Course: 500m (2 x 250m lap)
- Short Course: 350m (2 x 175m lap)

The swim leg will take place on the lake at Novotel Forest Resort. The lake is based on the golf course. The swim leg will be a wet start from the banks of the lake.
 Mountain Bike Course
- Long Course: 23km (3 x 7.5 km laps)
- Short Course: 15km (2 x 7.5km laps)
- Teaser Course: 4.5km (1 x 4.5km lap)
- Dirt Kids Duathlon: 1.5km (1 x 1.5km lap)
The Mountain Bike Course has been custom built for the Dirt Fest Weekend. The 7.5km Mtb lap is an action packed loop that dives in and out of short forest sections on the spectacular Novotel Forest Golf Course.
New riders will enjoy the flowing nature of the course, while more experienced riders will love carving the berms, bridges and roll overs. If you're not too tired to look, you'll also enjoy the panoramic views from many points along the course. The course is suitable for those new to mountain biking, but will also challenge those with advanced technical riding skills in a number of sections.
The mountain bike course within Novotel Forest Resort has been specifically designed and built for the Dirt Fest Weekend.
Tre-X MTB Course Profile
 Trail Run Course
- Long Course: 8km (2 x 4km laps)
- Short Course: 4km (1 x 4km lap)
- Teaser Course: 1 km (1 x 1km lap)
- Dirt Kids Duathlon Course: 250m + 250m
The trail run is a 4km lap and takes compeitors off road an into beautiful Hancock Plantation. The course is undulating with a few hills and pinchy climbs before returning back to the resort. This is an Off-Road Trail Run so be prepared to get wet, muddy and dirty.
Dirt Kids Cross Duathlon (7-10yrs individuals & teams)
 A feature of the VIC Dirt Fest Weekend is our Dirt Kids Cross Duathlon.
Our youngest dirt lovers take on:
- 250m Run
- 1.5km XC MTB (flat trails) and
- 250m run
The event is run near Race HQ. It is a fun non-competitive event for all levels and mum & dad are welcome to get involved as well. Dirt Kids are not required to put their bikes in the event transition area. A special Dirt Kids Transition will be set up at HQ to keep it nice and relaxed for our young ones. Just listen out for announcements on the day at Race HQ.
 Transition Area
The Transition Area will be based on the banks of the Novotel Forest Lake. The TA will be open from 6:30 to 7:20am. All gear must be placed in the Transition Area by 7:20am.
Please note all Teaser, Short Course and Long Course competitors must have their bike in the transitoin area by this time. A separate Transition will be set up at HQ for our Dirt Kids Duathlon. Listen for announcments before the start of the Dirt Kids Event.

A Pre-race safety brief will be held at Race HQ prior to the event. It's important that all competitors attend this brief as it covers important information regarding the course and your safety on he course.
