COURSE
LONG COURSE INFO: 700-20-8
Swim: 700m (2 x 350m laps)
Riverside Oaks is nestled on the banks of the Hawkesbury and the swim takes place in one of the most picturesque reaches of the river. Departing from the beach the swim will be a circular course with a short beach run to enter the water for the 2nd lap.
Mountain Bike: 20km (2 x 10km laps)
The Mountain Bike Course comprises a 10km Lap
Long course competitors complete 2 x 10km laps before returning to the Transition Area.
The course is varied and is graded easy in technical difficulty. This means it can be easily achieved by everyone from beginners to experts. The big test will be competitor's endurance. This course is perfect for the Tre-X Off Road Triathlon. It includes a combination of open fire trails, fast flowing single track, some downhill jumps (take them as hard and fast, or as easy as you like), and some fun downhill single track. There are a number of inclines, but no hills like last years course. There are some sections to challenge experienced riders, and speed and endurance will be key.
Trail Run : 8km (2 x 4km laps)
The course includes 2 x 4km Laps.
Long Course Competitors will complete 2 x 4km Laps before finishing at Race HQ.
This will be one of the most beautiful run courses of the Series (for those of you who like to admire the scenery). But don't be lulled into a false sense of seurity, this is no walk in the park. This course is a true trail run where runners will go off road, traverse the banks of the Hawkesbury, before heading up into the spectacular hills and cliffs.Expect some short scrambles and some challenging up hill single tracks before returning across the grassland back to HQ.
This is an OFF ROAD triathlon, expect to get wet, muddy & dirty.
